(2025) Tatlı, Hasan Sadık
The study aims to determine the sequential mediating role of organizational support and job stress in the effect of organizational culture on the intention to leave. The sample of this study consists of white-collar professionals working in the banking and finance sector in Istanbul. The convenience sampling method was preferred in the data collection process. Within the scope of the study, data was collected from a total of 441 participants. SPSS 27 package program and SPSS Process macro V4.2 were used to analyze the data. According to the research findings, it was determined that organizational culture increases the perceived organizational support perception of employees. In addition, organizational culture reduces the job stress and leave intentions of employees in the banking and finance sector. It was determined that perceived organizational support reduces the stress of employees. On the other hand, perceived organizational support significantly reduces employees' leave intentions, while job stress increases them. According to the mediation analysis findings, increasing perceived organizational support in organizational culture reduces job stress and decreases employees' intention to leave. In summary, managerial support and job stress mediate the effect of organizational culture on leave. The study presents important findings about the buffering hypothesis.
Retrospective Evaluation of Synovial Chondromatosis with Histopathological and Clinical Features
(2025) Öz, Özden; Sezak, Murat; Doğanavşargil, Başak; Tamsel, İpek; Kaya, Hüseyin; Biçer, Elcil Kaya; Büyüktalancı, Emin; Başdemir, Gülçin
Objective: Synovial chondromatosis (SC) is a rare, benign condition characterized by the formation of nodular cartilage within the synovium of joints, bursae, or tendon sheaths. The condition typically presents as loose body-like nodules, which often exhibit calcification and ossification. SC primarily affects adults and most commonly involves large joints. Histologically, it is defined by synovium-lined cartilaginous nodules displaying varying degrees of peripheral cellularity. Due to overlapping features, SC may be misdiagnosed as a chondroid malignancy, particularly in limited biopsy specimens. Methods: We performed a retrospective review of cases diagnosed as SC in the Department of Pathology at Ege University Faculty of Medicine between 1986 and 2020. Archived materials were analyzed for epidemiological characteristics, clinical presentation, macroscopic and microscopic histopathological features, and imaging findings. Results: A total of 114 cases were identified, with a nearly equal gender distribution (male-to-female ratio: 0.95). The median age was 54±16.7 years (range: 18-86 years). The knee was the most affected site (56.14%, n=64), followed by the ankle (14.03%), hip (12.28%), wrist (9.64%), elbow (5.26%), and shoulder (2.63%). Histopathological reevaluation was performed on 62 cases. No correlation was found between histological features and patient age, gender, lesion location, or recurrence. Conclusion: Most cases involved the knee joint, although rarer sites such as the ankle were also observed. Notably, synovial lining over the nodules was not consistently present. Many nodules exhibited increased cellularity, nuclear pleomorphism, and hyperchromatism-features that can mimic low-grade chondrosarcoma. Histological and cytological features did not correlate with recurrence in our cohort.
Corporate Social Responsibility Campaigns for Behavior Change and the Greenwashing Trend
(Nova Science Publishers, 2025) Cicerali, Eyyüb Ensari
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) concerns the ethical duties in service of society and the environment. Advocating and realizing effective practices for social and natural welfare is its mission. On that note, awakening the society concerning environmental hazards, developing self-transcendental values in people, and addressing sustainability problems such as global warming, deforestation, or resource depletion are its central targets. Organizations can effectively use CSR as a behavior management tool to foster and promote green practices among individuals. Nevertheless, it would be wise to be careful of greenwashing. Greenwashing is the deliberately misleading portrayal of a company or product as more environmentally friendly than it actually is. Tags such as "green," "sustainable," or "organic" are equated with being upscale and pricey; therefore, they can be used as marketing ploys. Thus, to decipher and prevent greenwashing, normative practices such as the development of laws/regulations, the standardization of CSR reports, and the implementation of certification and ecolabeling are currently observable. What is additionally suggested here is to provide public mass education on biospheric values, cognitive dissonance and planned behavior change mechanisms, as well. Since consumers are also responsible parties in cases of greenwashing, they need to be knowledgeable and analytical when evaluating organizations' claims of environmental responsibility. Environmentally responsible people would breed like-minded organizations. © 2025 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.

In this applied study, the effects of medication use and regular sports and physical activity on quality of life in elderly individuals who regularly use medication were examined. In this study, 4972 people with different demographic characteristics participated in this research and data were collected with a questionnaire method consisting of a 5-point Likert scale. The data obtained were in order to understand the effects of demographic variables on medication use and quality of life. Within the framework of the study, the relationship between demographic factors such as age, gender, educational status, marital status and medication use, medication recommendation and the number of medications used analysed in detail. After statistical analyses using ANOVA and Chi-square analyses, it found that medication use differed especially according to age and marital status, while medication recommendation was significantly related to gender, educational status and marital status. In terms of other findings, in addition to demographic factors, regular physical activity and sports positive effects on medication use. It was also determined that the number of medication used was significantly related to loneliness and feeling of helplessness. It also found that the feeling of loneliness and medication use pattern were in a significant relationship in individuals engaged in sports and physical activity. In addition, it was found that there was a significant relationship between medication intake and quality of life in individuals engaged in sports and physical activity. After this study, it has been revealed that it is a very important source to understand the relationship between medication use and quality of life in elderly individuals who do sports and physical activity and the importance of encouraging elderly individuals to do more physical activity. © 2025, Campus EDUCA SPORTIS S.L..
